The G2202 Junior Jet has an inexpensive Asian pickup designed by TV Jones, not a genuine TV Jones pickup. And it has a plywood body.

IMHO the CS La Cab Porrazo is way overpriced, but there's no comparison between it and a Junior Jet.

There may be a few exceptions but most of Fenders Custom Shop offerings are overpriced glamour pieces with huge markups. I bought a 51 NC through a dealer association for $2100 less than it's list price and that was with a custom profile neck. They're not even a good value at 40% off list let alone 20% unless you're buying it for it's potential collectors value when they stop offering it.

My '98 Dano Longhorn bass also kicks serious butt through my Ampeg Rocket 100 bass combo. Cost?.... 200 bucks new in 1998. Color turquoise blue. Super easy to play..... Very good sound.... really warm sounding...

Yeah, but the Fender gives you 4 more inches of scale length. That's gotta be worth something! ;)
