Just recently took a chance on a phaser made by Third Coast - never heard of them before. Apparently they specialize in pedal boards (stock and custom) and also have a small but impressive line of original pedals and clones.

Very impressed. Just your basic, classic, 4-stage, 1-knob phaser. Good tone (no loss of bottom end), no volume drop, useful speed sweep, and very well built.

They are based in Texas (hence, the “third coast” moniker).

I’ve been trying smaller builders. I have a Yooper Tone Bender MK1 clone from a dude n the Upper Peninsula of Mi. I bought a range master clone from Berch Audio in Wisconsin. Cool stuff! Nice phaser!

Sometimes it’s a crapshoot, especially without any reviews or videos. But most of the time, like this, it’s worth the risk.

    “Yooper.” That’s funny.

Michiganders are one of two people. Yoopers that live in the U.P. And Trolls which is what the Yoopers call anybody living “under the bridge”.

It really is a different world up there. Beautiful, dense and remote.

    Maybe that’s the Fourth Coast!

I've never heard of them either. What's their pricing?

Both peninsulas are surrounded by water...which makes them peninsulas I guess. Haha anyway I wonder if people outside this state know just how amazing Michigan is. Detroit, for better and worse, is the first thing most people see but that a small part that doesn’t represent the rest at all. I’m sure folks in other states feel the same about theirs.

    $150 - Klone
    $100 - other clones
    $75 - originals

Got the Phaser on sale for $50 - big bargain considering build quality and similarity (not a clone) to MXR Phase 90.

(I’m not a shill. Just a satisfied customer.)

Their prices seem pretty reasonable, especially for their pedals. I wish they had more pictures and descriptions of their pedalboards.
