Sweet... but jeez man... you keep playing like that and you're going to wear that neck plumb out!
I've wanted a thinline for a long time and have just finished putting one together. Very happy with the whole package - a slightly fuller sounding Tele.
It won't get played likeJostein's though.
Its actually a super faded Aztec gold with journeyman relic but it almost looks like shoreline.
Luckily the neck is massive so there's a lot to take from.
Mine has the vintage Fender tuners, the blue thinline posted here looks to have totally different tuners.
I'd love a Thinline Tele/Bass VI
Unfortunately I needed the money. I sold it to Norm at Normans rare guitars, and luckily got all my money back. Nice guitar, and I still miss it.
First, I concur with all the compliments to you and this fine guitar.
880-990 is an awful nice neck, and I'd be a much happier guy had necks of this size always been readily available, but there's larger still.....
But you might not want that, as the guitar would probably neck dive. I think if you went over 600 grams, for the neck, you could have an issue on a featherweight T type like this.
I did notice in your playing clip, the guitar wasn't "staying put" the way an 8 pound, four ounce guitar would have. But it didn't seem to bother you, so Congrats!
I've been considering having a b-bender installed on my thinline.
Sweet guitar and some very nice pickin’!
Thanks, yes I don’t notice much of a neck dive on it.
Thinline love... my '69 all-mahogany Thinline, with 2014 Fender Baja '60s neck. They are sweet guitars with a sound all their own. Twang King neck pickup, True Velvet bridge pickup.
Keep those thin lines coming!
I have another one too, a G&L ASAT deluxe with two humbuckers.
Retro guitars is building a copy of this custom shop for me. I should have it mid March.
That's cool, not familiar with them, where are they based?
I love a Tele for jazz, and have added 2 thinlines to the stable over the last couple of years.
Fantastic playing! I’ve been studying jazz guitar for the last 3 years, and every time I think I’m getting somewhere I see a player like you and contemplate throwing all my guitars in a river some place. I mean that in the nicest possible way Subscribed.
Something I threw together.......
I put this one together. plays extremely well.
My Fender American Design Experience Select Thinline
Some amazing looking thinlines here. Unfortunately I've never owned one, but always here good things.
