That is a quick way to spoil what looks to be otherwise a very attractive guitar by adding a stupid plastic label thing.

I'd have that off and in the bin straight away. If it leaves holes, so be it.

How funny would it be if it there were no holes. It's just an ornament.

I played one of these today at straight music. The plaque was not on it and there were no holes.
Unless epiphone is making two single p90 les Paul’s in black.

Oh, I get it..."Blues Power"...it's just like the one Albert King used to play...not.

Why do they do these things???

Otherwise, a really cool looking instrument.

It is the guy’s signature guitar. They just made a replica of his original, which has the plaque.

The plaque is beyond ridiculous. Totally tacky. Unless they installed it when the finish was still soft, it should be readily removable. If you don't want to do a legit fill job on the holes, and I doubt that it would be necessary anyway, there are all kinds of fillers you could use in there -- even a bit of black crayon -- to minimize the holes and visibility, which is unlikely to be much of an issue regardless. Why on earth would you take a really stripped down, plain black guitar -- and then add a goofy plastic badge?

Jared James Nichols. I saw him opening for John 5, he was great! Cool guitar too

I'd prefer it without the badge but the stoptail explanation makes sense... Love the kit build earlier, as well.

When I saw it in the shop today I was a little thrown off by NO plaque, I jerked the tag and it was old captain three names , I didn’t see anywhere that it attached, so it should be easy to remove.

it played really well, the neck was a nice handful, but to overkill. I liked it, but not enough to plug it in or take it to the counter.
They had one of the new Harmony guitars too. It wasn’t 1200$ nice though.

I've been eyeing these since they came out. Wondering the same question. I haven't seen one in a store yet. I love the single pickup, black les paul......but I really hate that little plaque. It has to pop off easily or have two little screws. I could live with two little screw holes in a black guitar

I saw Billy Gibbons with a goldtop, Gibson version of this a little while back and it has stuck with me since. They just look classy and cool.
