I have put SD 5-2 pickups in my tele with a 4-way switch and it sounds really thin? Any suggestions on this or things to do?

I had these pickups in another guitar that had a ebony neck with them hooked to a 3-way switch and they sounded great in that guitar? What has made the difference?

Both guitars are tele designs Help, please!

Are you sure you didn't wire them out of phase by mistake ?....are you fully checked out on changing the ground on the neck pup for a 4-way setup ?

How would I check to see if they are out of phase? I wired it like the seymor duncan wiring diagram showed? I put a wire on the cover after I cut the wire on the back side so I could use the four-way switch?
