Again, British, not Irish.
neither were british. my bloody valentine were an irish band, formed in dublin and they considered themselves as such. stiff little fingers identified themselves as northern irish, distinct from either irish or british and they repeatedly reflected this in their politics and their music.

The distinction between British and Irish when it comes to Northern Ireland is a complicated one.

I don’t know if Lizzy is the best, but they have to be the loudest. Without any doubt, the loudest show I have ever seen was Lizzy opening for Blue Oyster Cult. Great bands both, but excruciatingly loud that night. I had to rip pieces off of my T-shirt and stuff them in my ears to get through it.
