I don't know. Could be...sounds glorious anyway
Saw them in Belfast a time or two. Last time was in the King's Hall on one of their many farewell tours!
Brilliant live band.
Thanks to the magic of the Googlewebs, it seems that it is indeed that legendary LP! Now in the care of Kirk Hammett, apparently.
Not too sure about Phil Lynott being/having N Irish connections ... But. Great Rock Band... end of
PL... Born W'ton, raised Dublin, schooled Manchester
One of the drummers I used to play with always laughed at Jailbreak:
Tonight there’s gonna be a jailbreak
Somewhere in this town— everyone except Phil knew that the jail break was going to be... at the jail...
Yes, he's brilliant - I saw him live, playing in Colosseum II.
The "Jailbreak" LP still gets spun pretty regularly in my house, as I consider it an absolute classic. I have "Johnny the Fox" but never got into it as much. I need to expand my collection.
Big thanks to @mally for starting this thread. Before reading, I only knew Jailbreak and The Boys are Back in Town, only scratched the surface.
I’ve been listening a lot the last few days and there is so much more. Fabulous band. The slow intro transition into the main body of the Cowboy Song, pure genius!!!
Wait till you hear to the raw recording of Warrior on the bootleg 1976 Hammersmith.
Yeah, they are great!
One of my favorites, even though it wasn't written by them
I like 'em. I saw them once, opening for Blue Oyster Cult in a fairly small room. Two great bands, but man - it was the LOUDEST show I have ever seen. Incredibly, painfully loud. It's as if they thought the capacity was 15,000, not 1500. But in spite of that - great musicians, great show.
