I can’t get over these inexpensive guitars these days. Every once in a while I think, should I pare back my cheapos and just keep the higher end ones? No! They’re too dam good. And pretty. I didn’t even know these little Baretta Specials existed until recently. Bought it on backorder a month ago; expected it around June. Came today. I can’t find anything wrong with it. Probably better quality than my Squiers and Epiphones. I’ve only played it for thirty minutes or so, but I’m loving it. The alnico V humbucker is pretty schweet.
edit: that 4th pic looks weird. Not blemishes, just strange reflections

Kramer has always punched way above their weight. I am really glad to see the brand coming back. Growing up they were the fastest necks I ever played. That’s a great color too. Rock it!

    edit
Bonus for finishing the paint. Some major brands forget to paint the rest of the guitar. It looks better when the headstock is done.

Regarding the neon color, is everything old new again, or are they trading on the nostalgia of us old guys who did neon the first time around in the eighties? Just curious. Ibanez has some crazy Jem Jr colors on offer at the moment.

I don’t know. They call this Ruby Red but it’s closer to neon strawberry. I dig it.

Is Kramer owned by Epiphone now? These guitars are on the Epiphone website as well.

Not a lot. Sort of a thinnish C shape. Nice satin finish.

Shops have been listing the cheap Kramer Baretta Specials in Black and "Vintage White", too.
( link to big Euro online store: https://www.thomann.de/gb/kramer_guitars_st_models.html )

I love the Kramer take on the modified strat body shape. These are really tempting except I don't REALLY want a guitar with any vibrato system.

This is the Special. The much more expensive Baretta comes with the Floyd Rose.

Awesome guitar OP! I strongly considered buying the white one before building a Frankenstrat tribute. Glad to hear that it lives up to expectations.

Nah - float that vintage Strat style trem, put in a TUSQ XL nut and some roller string trees. Work the nut slots well and stretch the strings well and that sucker will stay in tune for weeks with tremolo use - even dive bombing. Cheaper than a floyd and way less setup/maintenance hassle.

Musicians Friend has the blue, red and purple with maple fretboard and the black and olympic white-ish color with rosewood board. I would prefer black with maple board to make an EVH Kramer ;)

I don’t see Rosewood. I see granadillo on the black and the white boards.

May bad - I just used "rosewood" to incorrectly identify the cheap, darkish, Asian fretboard material of the week ;) - it's not maple, and obviously too light to actually be rosewood. I didn't look that closely at first.
