Nickleback suck. They're boring corporate jock rock. Perfect for the NFL
Wait a minute! It's not the Super Bowl. Shouldn't they have one of those synchronized marching bands working the field? Those people are dynamite to hear and watch.
Count yourself lucky.
kelnet you hit the nail on the head there. And how many jumped on the hate bandwagon?
Hmm interesting, never listened to them much apart from the early hits and I liked How You Remind Me. So I was curious about this hate stuff and clicked on a bunch of their songs on youtube....gee the're all the same
Oh, you mean like the way Keith Urban's stuff is all the same. Merle Haggard's stuff is all the same. Alan Jackson's stuff is all the same. Bill Kirchen's stuff is all the same. Vince Gill's stuff is all the same.
quote Thundersleet Q - how many jumped on the hate bandwagon?
Who was voted the most hated band ever?
In: Entertainment & Arts › Music › Bands
There have been many surveys, with different bands. Nickelback is considered the world's most hated band by several.
Hey it ain't their fault -You get invited to the SB halftime show, you say yes.
Most of the focus seems to be around their music and how much we hate them and their minor 1-6-3-7 pattern abuse (sigh) but the issue here is with the producers; they should've been more sensible and book a major Michigan born act before even thinking about anything else. That's the real problem IMO.
Nickelback ? Wait, they're not that bad... they're so good they can play a medley without anyone noticing the transitions.
That's only because Creed broke up. Let's not forget that Creed actually got sued by fans for sucking.
Maybe somebody will pay attention to his petition and instead of Nickelback, they'll get one of the about 10,000 alt/post-grunge bands who sound exactly like them.
This would be worth watching a friggin' football ball for, nevermind Nickledick.
You beat me to it. Should I care?
personally, i would much rather see nickelback than coldplay, black eyed peas, radiohead, eminem, r.e.m., u2, or any of the other innumerable "popular" bands that i just can't wrap my head around the source of their popularity. but hey, other people like them, so let 'em play.
as far as the "i don't like a band so no body else should be able to listen to them whether thay like them or not" attitude of this douchecanoe just irritates the crap out of me.
clearly - since they've sold 50 million records - there are some people out there that like nickelback. i bought their first record and it is pretty damn good. that said, after that first record the rest sound pretty much the same.
edit: i'd actually be way more impressed if they found someone to sing The Star Spangled Banner properly.
I would normally agree, except for the fact that they are a sub-standard band, regardless of record sales.
OK, yeah there plenty of bands not worth seeing, now that you mention it. I'd rather see Katy Perry for obvious reasons.
I have been hearing the name Nickleback for years, but can't think of any of their songs! I'm not out of touch or anything! I guess it's time to check them out on youtube....
I'd go for Bob Seger!
Well yeah, if you overlook the fact that Freddie King is DEAD.
I've seen an surprising number of people in Nickelback t-shirts (ie >1) this year.
I think the petition is a bit of harmless fun, good on him. Not like he's making a nuisance of himself at all.
