I'm not a huge Rush fan, but I don't hate them. Middle of the road. Well, might be the worst thing I've ever heard (pop music aside, of course). What happened to Geddy Lee's voice??? He sounds like a crying drunk on karaoke night. I was driving home from work and they played this on the radio.

    Caution-earplugs are recommended...

    Really?

That's not bad at all. Prefer the original studio version but give the guys a break... 30-odd years later, who knows how far into the set, who knows how far into the tour... Not bad at all.

You're doing pretty good if that's the worst thing you've ever heard!

Nah, it's terrible :D Regardless of the past accomplishments, they aren't replaying one of THOSE at this show. I'd be furious if I paid for a ticket and got to hear that...

I can't watch the video from work, but I googled the number and apparently it's Working Man from the R30 dvd?

That first Rush album I always thought was awful, and that particular song sounded "like a crying drunk on karaoke night" even back in '74. I doubt the new version is any worse; Geddy doesn't even try to hit those high notes anymore.

Nope that's actually because of the CEO of the RRHOF, not liking their music. No matter how much dues you've paid, if the big guy doesn't like you you'll never be in.

Look it up, I'm not making this here.

Biggest improvement in an unlistenable voice I ever heard. I could actually stand that.

My comment was a joke. I know Jan Weener is a Wiener. I just want Turbonegro to get in the Hall of Tame sometime.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. if Paul Rodgers is not in there, it's a joke. It's a joke anyway with some of the acts that are included and excluded.

    Joke.

Rush are a very curious - probably unique - balance between regular guy, plaid-jacketed hosers and brainiac prog-rock wizards.

Too much for Jan Wenner's brain to compute! :D

Half Canadian but not a Rush fan otherwise. For some reason I like this better than anything I've heard y them. Oops, until all of the extra added nonsense about halfway in.

I never liked them much because Geddy always sounds like that. No worse no better IMO.

I grew up in an era when every muso had a big boner for Rush. I nver understood the attraction and found listening to their music embarrrassing , for some reason. It really hurts my ears. And no...Neal Peart is not the best drummer of all time, just cause he buys the biggest kits and plays the most. Thanks to him "Paraddiddle" became part of every half assed drummers lexicon in the 80's.

First and foremost, Rush has a very dedicated following and they are extremely talented musicians. I wish I could just have opportunities to suck this bad! I suck in smoky, sleazy venues, so I'm not hating on Rush. With that said................

Rush is VERY painful for me... always has been. This, however, is comical. I issued a challenge to another guitarist I work with. I said, "I want to see how long you can watch and listen to this without laughing or just shutting it off."

He laughed on first sight of the drummer's fortress of a kit and his 29 cymbals. And then he shut it off about 20 seconds after the vocals started. Impressive.
