The word is 'price' not 'price point'.

It makes sense on YouTube if it's a dealer demo/review ("This guitar has the nicest hardware in this price point"), but not quite so much when it's a private party showing off their new purchase.

Here in France, more and more people cannot say simply « aujourd’hui » (« today »); they have to add « au jour d’aujourd’hui » (basically « on today’s day », which is silly, right?). Consumerism now applies to words and sentences I guess...

More semantic control freakery as far as I’m concerned. Everyone knows what it means. I understand why it upsets you because we all have our irritants, but it’s not important for the whole world to speak the same way.

"Price point" is a very apt, descriptive, and good phrase to use, in this context.

It receives the blowtorch seal of approval

Steerforth almost touched on the "point" I think most are missing. "Price point" just sounds more pretentious. Like when a police spokesman or TV newscaster says something like....."A group of individuals were observed gathered at the intersection.....blah, blah". To me, a "group" negates a number of "individuals".....but it sounds more "educated", at least to the person saying it.
In A River Runs Through It, Norman's father, in grading Norman's essay, instructs him several times, "Now, half as long". Unlike most of my own posts, brevity is to be admired. ;)

So they have a pet peeve. Everyone here does, so calling the OP a boomer or telling them they are yelling at clouds is dismissive. when the day comes that anyone saying these things is dismissed in the same manner, I'm sure they won't even think about how they've done that to someone else.

If you're resorting to using "okay, boomer" or telling someone they are yelling at clouds, then you're not trying very hard.
