Scored a 2009 Gretsch Double Annie with HiLo’Trons for $600 on the local CL. It was THE dirtiest guitar I’ve EVER seen when I picked her up, and I did quite a bit to get her back up and running.

I also got a Beetronics Buzzter, which came with a free gift of a solderless cable kit.

There you go, I had both, the Deora was purple, and the Fleetside was blue. It really has been a while, and these were not cars that were babied, I had enough track to shoot these things half way down the block,, lol
What's funny, is I paid no more than 76 cents for any of these, because my sister worked at the Winn's store and she had some kind of discount on everything,,, oh to the good old days!!
Hang on to your collection Brother!!

    Since you asked---

It's still in the planning stages, but some of the details are:

    -OM body shape (of course)
    -25.4" scale length / 1 7/8" nut width
-mahogany body, might opt for some quilt
    -sitka top, possibly bearclaw
    -ebony fretboard and bridge
    -bone nut, saddle and pins
    -Waverly butterbean tuners
    -no pickguard
    -nitro finish

Still got to figure out what position marker inlays I want (if any), the type of bindings and rosette, all that kind of thing...neck shape...&c.

This will be a dedicated fingerstyle guitar, never gonna see a flatpick. Looking for attack and fundamental tones, not a lot of sustain or overtones---hence the 'hog/sitka construction. I find the OM shape to have the most even freq response and the easiest to hold (I play sitting, across my left leg).

Thanks for your interest. I'm very excited about this guitar, I've wanted it forever.

Right?! I have a 6120DSV with a TV Jones Classic in Dynasonic mount and a TV Jones P-90 in the neck (a la Cochran) which scratches my main Gretsch itch, but this Annie just was too good to pass up.

He had listed it as ‘needing work’, namely the neck pickup was not functioning. Here’s all I did to it -
    - cleaned it. A lot. Easily a quarter of an inch of filmy dust and grime all over the guitar.
    - glued the nut back down
    - the issue with the neck pickup was the pot. It was filthy and I cleaned it out and re-flowed all the solder connections. Boom, neck pickup was back on.
    - Gave her a setup and she’s good as new.

It really bums me out when people don’t take care of their instruments.

I mostly gave stuff away this Christmas. Trying to lighten the load, I guess. I sold a guitar and amp and gave a bunch of wood working tools to a friend as I know I won't need them. Then, because the missus and I don't exchange gifts at Christmas (we do that at other times) I bought myself this. I don't know why, really, I just like sharp things.

I have a 000-28 EC Sunburst and a 0000-28 Sinker Mahogany from Gruhn’s Guitars. I sold my dreadnaught because I didn’t like the size. Sounds like you are building a nice guitar and will love it.

I haven't met too many people who don't love their Bajas. I love mine. It's the one guitar I have that I wouldn't consider getting rid of. I'm with you in your opinion. Congratulations, and enjoy it!

    I love me some "fuzztortion"!

The Karma Sutures are my favorites. Gonna try the Leona with the band for the first time tonight.

I saw where Taylor Goldsmith(guitar & lead singer for Dawes) got engaged to Mandy Moore. Good for him
