The Verve and Richard Ashcroft - I got it so wrong

    Back in the 90's I was totally into hardcore and was dismissive of this type of music anything that wasn't ultra heavy.

    Later, I again was dismissive to this band with the notion of plagiarism in mind (Bittersweet Symphony). I won't get into whether it is/was.

    What was totally missed was how good they are. Richard Ashcroft just hits me. The music is great. Really textured and nuanced, high production. WOW!

    I kind of consider Richard as a badass Jim Croce for Gen Xers
