I found the time hard and gave up several similar phrases to start.
Great warm tone and playing throughout.
And now the other one
knh555 Sweet Kevin! I really like the mixture of triads and the phrasing . Some great old southern rock riffen!
Midnight Blues.(The first one.)
This was fun, not Jeff Beck for sure, but it was a good time.
jimilee Welcome jimilee! Thanks sharing your version with us , it's pretty sweet.
@Mjark : great opening, lovely southern rock playing throughout. So many good lines!
@knh555 : catchy opening! Do you play all the way slide or just at some passages? Anyhow, very well played!
@Mellencaster : a wonderful track! The two guitars work so well together; it´s obvious you had fun with this one.
@jimilee : that´s a good debut, welcome! No Jeff required; nice melody work on your track, well composed!
@udoering thank you sir. That’s exactly what I was working on. I watched a great documentary with les Paul, he suggested if you want to make hits, play the melody. I figured instrumentals are catchier that way too.
Ah well....the happy track made my ears bleed Spent more time making it audible than I did playing over it....haha it shows in the playing, was getting pretty annoyed by the time of recording. Discovered later that my D string was wonky...bad string was off by a good many cents...haha
And the odd one was well odd.....just floated along....that shows too...not my faves but good fun anyways!
I pulled the slide off about halfway through for a bit of variety. The whole thing was done in standard tuning with capo 2.
NWinther Nicely played on both Niels!
Yes! Nice indeed.
This track is great for slide licks. It could have been really good had you played within the changes more.
@Mellencaster - You fattened it up with the added rhythm track!
You got the vibe just right though, odd!
- It is bright! Your tone and lines are complimentary.
@alainvey - this one had your name engraved on it. I'm glad you stopped by.
