Nice job Mike! Great production of a beautiful backer. It is very cool of you to put these backers up. Thank you!
Here's mine. Thank you Mike!
Well.....to be honest I am not much of a SRV fan...so I took a slightly anarchistic road on this one!
But it was a fun challenge for sure
Two things that I have taken from this, I got to steal a few licks and I need a lot more practice.
@Alan L Cole That's pretty sweet with that tone Alan .Some great lines played on this!I'm glad you've got your piano solo in , you're a braver man than I am but you've managed quite nicely.
@NWinther Nice melodic phrasing Neils. You've turn it on at the 3:00 minute mark on but the part that work the best was after 5:30ish , you really got in a sweet groove.
I cut it to around 5m...
estreet If this track wasn't so ingrained in my thoughts from earlier this week .I could've easily envision your take as how I would've interpreted in my mind .Very nicely played!
Here is mine:
Mesa Lonestar Special, both channels with programmable eq and Flux Drive.
As you can see, pretty much everything went wrong. Patrick was my engineer today.
This was a hard one, The key change is tough. Who changed the key or tuned down?
I tuned down but it felt like my track ended at Bikini Bottom.I've give a listen to your takes shortly .
@Alan L Cole : it seems we had some problems with those very jazzy chord changes at the end of a verse; the more I appreciate that you played that track with your unique style and tone, and the fierceness of your playing contrasts well with the coolness of the bt.
@NWinther : Nice opening! Besides some unusual harmonic content there were many passages of great beauty! I also thought that we had a similar usage of delay resp reverb.
@Mellencaster : that is a nice simple approach, Mike, and simple here is not meant critical!
@estreet : lovely melodic playing! Love what you did past 1.50 and 4:00!
@Mjark : What I heard were some beautiful, sensitively played lines! But who is Patrick?
I brought the bt one step up to E. I found it hard to find notes that fitted to the last two chords.
@udoering Wow!That's some track Ullrich! , I have little else to say but this ,beautifully played!
@Mjark The phrasing sounds lovely Mark , to bad Patrick cut you off, I've would of liked to hear more!
The pink one, I am assuming Mark is using it as a analogy.
2 weeks without touching a guitar, I feel a bit rusty but Eb tuning helps for the bendings.
1 take, with my hot rodded japanese strat. (just a little eq and reverb added in the daw)
Back at the ranch. Spent the day 'til now helping my oldest son move into his new house and it has kicked my as*. I'm writing this on my tablet flat on my back on my couch licking my wounds. Will listen and comment as soon as I'm able
JCL50 Some very brilliant lines on this JC, I love the slight breakup of your tone , it gets down and dirty.Very enjoyable listen!
I know those days .A few ibuprofen and a meal will get you back in the game
