...that make people think you're crazy, different, special, way out, etc...

Like buying $20 picks, $25 strings, expensive guitar straps, expensive slides, flashy pickguards, better caps, having a tatoo of your fav guitar, etc...

Ok, I admit I do all that. I always did.

    What about you?

$20 picks? I'd think you're crazy too! Ha!

My wife thinks I'm obsessed with the Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman because I listen to and talk about them a lot. I also like to run when it's pouring rain and drink Rebel Yell and Pepsi. Oh well... at least my #1 is not a Les Paul!

Brewing beer for a living. When people ask "what do you do," it always gets a reaction.

I jump off perfectly good boats. I enjoy 8 foot waves. I love coming up from a dive in extreme rain (the fresh water equipment rinse is very handy).

I love depth in water but if you ask me to climb a ladder and go on a roof, I'll shake with fear. Depth is fun for me. Height is frightening for me.

    Lets see...
    I play a $5000 mandolin with $8 picks.
I used to have a stock MIJ Squier Tele. Then I bought a new neck P/U for it and yanked both P/Us. Rewired it too. Then I changed the intonation to handle CGDAEG tuning. Then I changed that to DAEBF# and dropped the old high g string all together. The tuning machine was buzzing so I pulled that too.

Now that I have both a Epiphone Mandobird (tuned CGDA instead of GDAE) and a Fender Mandocaster (8 string), I can return the Tele to its intended state (EADGBe). Actually, I want to turn it into a eSquier. Heh.

Crazy? Yep. At the moment, I'm not even a guitar player!

I didn't read anything crazy yet...

Well... at least nobody said he likes to play in snow... yet

I don't, and that also makes me look strange for someone leaving in Quebec

Wait. I love to play in the snow. I'm a bunny hill ski instructor on the weekends.
