    you mean the tele to strat dive?

    just play that darn thing and try to avoid "iconic" tones. I find that it's harder to be myself on a strat.

    I can't count how many Strats I've had....and then sold...I'm certainly not the guy to ask.

    For me....
    The strat ergonomics and looks are great.
    The strat neck pickup sound is great.
    The strat bridge pickup usually sounds weaker than tele.
    Some find that the strat middle pickup gets in the way, one way or the other.
    Some like strat pickup selector positions 2 and 4. Some don't.

    Long ago, I decided to stay away from "trems", so my Stratocaster is a hardtail.
