Nice. I go up the neck for the minor chord. Great riff. I can play it over and over.

I played in a group; we rehearsed at the singers house (an old converted corner grocery store). His wife was named Jane. I trained the band to immediately begin playing Sweet Jane whenever she entered the room - no matter what we had been playing. It was fun, and good training for the band's non-verbal communication.

Far too often, "Sweet Jane" is my go-to when couch strumming. I remember the first time seeing that clip, I felt vindicated about the Bm. Simple pleasures.

That Costello show was on TV for far too short a period. Man he had some greats on.
i'm glad this video is posted so i can refer back to it. i never played it right, but i don't think most of the other persons who ever covered it played it right either. it works just as well with g-c-d-emin, but the way lou is playing it here does sound better.

What do you know? For once, I was playing something right!
I've never performed it, but play it at home all the time for kicks.
I just ( wrong!) assumed song was in the key of E, so I play the correct pattern. with C#m, but in E.
I guess being on solo acoustic here, I just like hearing the low E string when the E chord comes around

AFter seeing Ziggy Stardust, I became a Bowie superfan; all things Bowie Transformer. BINGO. I don't think original Lou fans dug the hard rock sound. I DID! Hunter Wagner got me to see and get into Alice. I probably got RNR Animal the day it was released.
