When I need a little more oomph, I pair my SC XD with another amp. Here's one such combination:
Yes, I still use my XD daily for in home play. I love it! Anyone else?
Mine mostly stays at church. It's perfect for that application.
I use it every Sunday for rehearsal at the drummer's studio.
Amazing little amp, eh?
Hi there! Just joined in on the forum. Got me a SCXD new in '10, it's a great lil' tone monster I use as my daily but tones got much better when I swapped the OEM speaker for a Jensen Mod 10/70. I Know most everyone swears by the RC but this 10 incher really speaks like a 12". @98.2db It can get up there with my band. I've been throughout the forums and haven't heard of anyne else using it, so i just thought I'd let you know it's a great upgrade for the amp. That and JJ's and a rebias ;-)
In my case a Mod 10-35 and Tung-Sol tubes does it for me.
If anyone is interested in trying out this speaker amplifiedparts.com just put the whole MOD series on sale, 25% off. Its a bargain as-is so the extra savings got me tempted on getting a spare. And no, I'm not affiliated to them
Hey JohnS, Does the amp keep that fendery sparkle with the 10-35?
Absolutely! It is not high efficiency, but works great here as I don't jam anymore so I do not need extra volume.
I just found this thread! I thought you guys might like what I've been working on.
I'm thinking about building a new 1x12" cab for my XD, so I pulled it apart and took some measurements, then put it all in SketchUp. I designed a 12" cabinet for it, then took it a step further to make a head with separate speaker cab. I put the X2 faceplate on the head since they make them that way already.
Here's a link to the SketchUp Model.
And here's what the 1x12" cab I designed looks like next to a stock XD and a Head/Speaker setup. Does anyone have a 1x12" cab already?
112 Super Champ cabinets have been available on ebay for years, in various coverings & colors. You know the X2 comes in a head-and 112-cab version as well, right?
Back in - just reacquired one :8
Then play the heck out of it and welcome back.
I've had one for years and play it regularly, it has the Jensen CR10 speaker so its my little Princeton!
Other Amps are; 68 Modified DR, Orange Micro Terror with a hand made cab with the original SCXD speaker in it, G-Dec 3 (which gets played when i need to be be quite but still want good tone selection).

I bought one from the guy that offers them on eBay. busmc is his user name I think. Cheap enough, well built with good quality materials, and in stock black tolex to my eye it's undistinguishable from a "real" Fender blackface cabinet. I believe the cabinet is 1" taller than stock. All other dimensions are the same as stock SCXD.
I put a Warehouse G12C speaker in mine. I figured I'd want a good clean speaker for that Fender sparkle, and let the modeling dirty it up when I needed it.
I bought mine off of Facebook as well. The previous owner bought a solid state Princeton 112 amp and transferred the chassis of Super Champ XD into it. Fit very nicely, and had a Fender 12" speaker. It also had new tubes. I got the amp, both cabinets and speakers for $200. A super deal.
Craigslist find for $50. I forget what amp this came from. It's an inch wider than the SC chassis so I put 1/2" black painted wooden spacer blocks at each end. I added the hardware and grillcloth but screwed up by using glue that oozed through at the corners. Speaker is currently a Weber 12F150W.
