Here is a new one for me. Its a 1998 MIM all original. Just picked this up recently from Facebook Marketplace. The pickups sound great to me. Does anyone know what kind of magnets are in these pickups? DSCF0152.JPG DSCF0154.JPG

I wonder how many guitarists start out the sentence “I’m not a Strat guy...” and then pull out photos of their Strats :D

Twenty years ago, I sold the only strat I owned and was definitely not a Strat guy... I couldn’t play the darn thing to save my life. Ten years ago, still not a Strat guy; not a chance. About four years ago I started jamming with a guy who had 3 Strats and I got the itch. Now I’ve got two Strats and I think I’m a card carrying member of the Strat guy club. I love my Strats.

You busted me. Then again, I screwed this partcaster together, with neck and bridge 5 times more valuable than the rest of the parts, and said ‘meh, I quack but so what?’ Easy peasy, broke it down and got my money back :)

Tell us more.. How long do you have it ?? Is it original? Any good stories... LOL
This is an awesome guitar! I had a 1958 ( Hank Marvin color - pink) and a 1961 (rosewood slab) sunburst... Should never have sold them but hey that's life.(((

All OG, though I’ve had it refretted, (a bit of a story there, long, but all is good now). I got a very good deal on it from the second owner who has had it since 1970. It had a bodyguard on it! The back was immaculate. All in all a great guitar, though I have a couple teles and a Jazzmaster that I have been playing more. Really want a 50s Fender more than anything!

I have a theory about 50's guitars.... It is not that the 50's guitars were better. I think that the 50's guitars that survived are the better ones. All the others have been thrown away or sold or modified because they were not good to start off with. I threw some of them away in the 60's and 70's that would have been worth a fortune now. But.. who knew...(((

A quick pic of my 1996 American Standard Strat -- 50th Year Anniversary Model -- for Fender, not for the Strat. Has the little 50th Year medallion on the back of the headstock.

Bought new as a graduation present to myself. I love this guitar!

Newest built partscaster. Fender Classic Series 60s body, Classic Player 60's neck, Tonerider Classic Blues pickups. I'm having a blast with it, sounds great and not too heavy to boot!

Fenderitis Multiplicitous.... it is an affliction that many of us suffer from. It feels great, but can be costly!
