Some more highly recommended gear books. the Beauty of the Burst is great if you like Gibson LPs pictures, there's a more recent edition available. The pics are great but guitars I will never be able to afford. The Ultimate Fender Book is another Dave Hunter publication:

Wow..I just got my copy of the book from Sweetwater...I didn't realize it came with a set cardboard cover sleeve with a real Fender logo stuck on the front... And in it was hand written #376 of 1000 and signed by Tom wheeler.... Not stamped but actual hand written.... Pretty cool!

Very cool, surprising that Fender/Hal Leonard only published 1000 of these books considering it was published in 2017, wonder where/how Sweetwater got their stock and are able to unload it at such a discount - it's going for over $150 new on Amazon?
Or maybe this some sort reprint, 2nd edition or something?

    Those are the used copies.

The only two "new" copies on Amazon are listed at $795 and $1,474.

I discovered this thread late (just now). My copy of The Soul of Tone from years ago is about worn out and the binding is falling apart. What a fabulous book it is! I just tried to find it at Sweetwater and no luck. I have a call in to my sales engineer. Anyone know if Sweetwater has any left?

No, I think we snarfed 'em all up, already.

I would love to know how many TDPRIers got in total from Sweetwater.

It surprises me that Hal Leonard quit printing these, but still does "the Stratocaster Chronicles".

Dang! Glad I got one when I did. A gift from the wife several years ago. Thanks and congrats to everyone who got one this time around. :)

Mine's also first addition. It did not come with a sleeve nor signed serial number either. To answer your request, the ISBN number is 978-0-634-05613-0. And to ce24, I'd probably sell mine for $1500 too.

Weird. Is that because it shipped to Canada?

    :D

Seriously, I was thinking maybe they're not authorized as a business that can ship food across the border. Stranger things have happened. o_O

Never thought of that, makes sense... I'm not too concerned about the missing candy though. :)

Haven't even cracked open the book yet. Books depreciate by 40% as soon as you start reading them.. :()
