If anyone has looked for these on Amazon you have seen that no new ones are listed and the used ones are going for hundreds of dollars.

I recently stumbled upon the fact that Sweetwater is selling new copies still, and they have recently dropped the price to... (drum roll, please) $25. Are you kidding me?

If you're interested in this subject, I would go grab one of these. I imagine it is one of the last stashes of new copies there is out there.

    My copy is worn out.
The binding didn't hold up very well.
I might have to snatch one up to keep.
    Thanks for the info.

That can be a problem with current "coffee table" books: They often don't weather handling very well. Guess they're supposed to just sit there and look cool.

I have the same shirt. As I recall, it was a marketing campaign where you went into an authorized dealer and if you "test-drove" an amp they would sign off on a form you could send to Fender for a free shirt.

A point about the book. When I was speaking with Joe Bonamassa about HPTT amps, he informed me he has a mint one. Not sure exactly where he located it. It’s his museum quality HPTT, likely never played. Never toured. You can see this very amp of Joe’s on the cover of this Soul Of Tone Book. You who own the book, is the nice clean amp featured inside as well?

Me too, thanks for the heads up! I'll keep it with my Tom Wheeler Guitar Book that I got as a gift in 1975.

seriously, I love this book, but it can ruin your life... obsessive types might want to avoid it.
