Easily the greatest live concert I've ever seen. There was once a guy on this forum who was there knew the whole story on how and why this got made.

Every song is amazing, Cropper's Tele through the Marshall backline is the best I ever heard him and the entire MGs are at their peak:

Another one from the fabulous Bettye Lavette. I don't think I ever heard a more soulful vocal

Like Sam Cooke (and Lou Rawls) Johnny Taylor had a successful gospel career with the Soul Stirrers before going pop. Much of his stuff was pretty blues oriented, but I'd class as a lot of it as soul
Johnny Taylor had a unique and soulful voice. I love this song and his version of Big Blue Diamonds.

Al Jackson Jr is doing things on that kit that'll render it need of a cool drink and a cigarette afterwards. If you watch with an eye just on Al and Duck, you'll notice Duck pivoting his head toward Al with a look of amazed awe quite often. Rightly so. That's some drumming.

Steve's tone could cut diamonds, in a good way. That's a spanked Telecaster. Some of the best tone he's had. Another stand-out is the growl Booker gets from that organ. It sounds like an eldritch demon!

Love it. Love it to bits.

Every song is amazing.
