I have been a fan of Mark Knopfler since 1978/1979 and REALLY admire his playing. So much so I got a Strat and wired it for 5 sounds. Even played with fingers only for 20 years. Love his works.
BUT I hope I never hear " Money for Nothing " EVER again. That's not his style and it makes a Les Paul sound cheap through a badly distorted amp.

What he said^^^^^ I would like to think, even if I was 13 years old, I would hate that song!

Anything played on any Classic Schlock Radio Station anywhere.
But if it was just one song...
...hmm I despise so many that it is impossible to choose even a dozen.

Wanna get WEALTHY?....Use Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" as a template ... the apex of sonic constipation...I wonder if EC used Lee Greenwood's tome as his template or if it was the other way around... anyways that's a Tour that'll probably generate a trillion dollars too.

I won't even go into the honey hole called Modern Country Music.

Even though Aerosmith is my favorite rock band, I could live a happy life never hearing "Dream On" again. Have felt that way since 1975

Speaking in general terms it's anything and everything by Rush, but if I have to limit myself to one steaming pile of dung then it's got to be "Africa" by Toto.

"The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless, longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what's right
As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti
I seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that I've become"

    WTF?

I hear the same Radiostation for years

but when they played this song daily i immediately changed the frequency.
I even wanted to write them they lost me forever but now they stopped to play it.

A six year old could make a song like this on toy Keyboard and the singing made me want to die.
Later i found out it is a gay song, sorry for the poor guys. I thought you had more fun.
Do not listen to it if you are depressiv.

    " Don't Stop Believing"

Was sick of it already, THEN it got whole new life ( zombie!).on Soprano's finale

    - Classic Rock radio ( which I still listen to- have always loved radio/drive a lot...) playlists have become so homogenized and shrunken- nothing but huge hits now.
I bet my ( IHEARTRADIO) Station
doesn't regularly play more than 100 songs:

Journey, Def Lep, Bon Jovi, Police, Pat Benetar, Aerosmith- add Sweet Home Alabama, Sultans of Swing, an AC/DC song, REPEAT!

** I'm NOT exaggerating here- that bad.
So much good music NOT being played.

You pretty much nailed it. So predictable, and redundant. More people would enjoy music, if corporate radio stations ceased to exist.

    Thanks anyhow.

"Stand by your Man" When it came out the area I was living in played it on all stations, about 4 times an hour. You couldn't escape it without turning the radio off.

No! One of the favourite numbers on our set. Doesn't sound quite like Rupert Homes though.
