The whole thing strikes me as weird and creepy.

To be honest, the fact that I wasn’t a fan is not relevant. It’s not like I have their ability to perform in an entertaining manner and make a living at it. Good on them. Grease, however, is execrable. Sure that’s only my opinion, but you’re not going to change it. Blech.

Watching the Woodstock footage, it always looked to me as if Sha Na Na started as a parody. Like they were making fun of the music. A few personnel changes and a TV show and they became the nostalgia act everyone remembers.

A lot of the TV guys went on to impressive careers outside of music.

Hopelessly Devoted and There Are Worst Things I Could Do. Great chord changes on both of these songs regardless of what soundtrack they landed on. Great songs are great songs. It's ok. I get it. I can't listen to or watch Rocky Horror Picture Show. Now maybe if Olivia Newton John and Stockard Channing were in that one too...

I was a founding member of a similar group that was highly successful in the '70s. I played guitar and sang bass (Bowzer's part).

I remember seeing the show and not being able to figure out what its deal was.

Fun! I don't know how many Sha Na Na tapes we wore out just driving around.
