Kinda creeps me out when people use iterations of the term "sexy" to describe musical gear and/or the sounds made by such...

Phaser, or chorus, or trem - doesn't matter - as long as it's set slow and deep.

Slow and deep, baby - sexy, n'est pas?

Another vote for the Uni Vibe here (Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe, actually). I love the thick and swirly lucious watery sounds that come from it.

I would say univibe, then tremolo, then chorus.
I have decided Leslie is to over the top.
To much sonic stew against other players.
I probably use trem the most. It goes with country or rock, without being to much.

It's a kill switch. Though I never use it.

Flanger, tremolo and wah are nice. Can add a slide too.

Not sure. Haven't really delved in to examine the "why". I just know that it does. Maybe I need counseling?

Maybe, or you could just avoid hearing it by playing a shredder guitar and using lots of chorus.

    I'm with the tremolo folks.

A modulation effect can modulate frequency, amplitude, phase, or any other characteristic of the input signal by a predefined pattern. (Here's a good explanation.) Because tremolo modulates the amplitude of the signal, it's a modulation effect.

I'm a chorus fan. Nice shimmer or a tremolo/ Leslie like warble. It's my go to modulation effect.

I should say I like the other standards too ( flanger, tremolo, phaser, vibe) I just try to keep a minimal board for ease of transport and operation.

The chorus always ends up taking the cake for me.
