Ok, there's no where to go, and you can't have parties... so time resurrect those guitar building projects.

    Post your self-isolation builds here.

    Ready, Steady, go!

Returned from France on Monday. Have to self quarantine for 14 days. Just finished this up today.

Great motivating thread. I got a couple little things that I can add but mostly everything on a big scale is still packed away from my move. Still waiting for my place to get finished.

Hey Rze99 - North London here in lockdown, and am thinking along the same lines, just got hold of a Strat body and Squier neck and a mongrel Jazz bass body but a real mex JB neck and there is plenty of other stuff to set up - might even finish the Studio build

My panic shopping was in Guitar Guitar Camden - 10 sets of strings........

I started something months ago before my wife had a gentle word.

    Or several.

“wouldn’t it be good if we could have guests in the dining room that you’ve turned into a guitar workshop”.

“Perhaps you could let me know how long the room is going to be like that”.

“Are there any guitars that could go in their cases for a while?”

“Did you say you were going to sell some guitars?”

So I dutifully rescinded my luthiery activities and put the parts away.

Never let a good crisis go to waste say the arch politicos.

So tomorrow the parts are coming out! Yay!

That's a musikraft neck. Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. 42mm nut width, 12 inch radius, 6150 frets. Quilt is black, sanded back. Then a Keda dye power mixed with alcohol. It's minimax gloss lacquer cans for the clear coat (i don't own a spray gun).

Not building but winding if that counts. I’ve done about 25 pickups over the last year. Still trying to get the hang of it as you can see. Part of it is probably by winder setup but regardless I’m getting good results.

A big shout out to @Chordophonic who has loaned me his Guitarbuild Telemaster pickguard.

We talked yesterday and it arrived this morning and it's now on its way to Jack's Instruments in Manchester to have a clear acrylic copy created.

I've made some great friends here on the TDPRI - and met many face-to-face.

    What a great community!

    Thanks @Chordophonic! :)
