    I'm a fan of that song, but only hard-core Stones fans have ever heard of it. That is a great version.

    Some of the Stones best stuff is the very basic stuff.

    Great scene in Performance where he sings that song.

    Mick Jagger's finest moment as a solo artist, and his only solo song that has any early-Stones-style sense of danger to it.

    I had never heard the demo version of "Memo From Turner," which has Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi on it:



    This one has a cool swampy groove, but if only because I've heard so many more times, I have to say I prefer the version on the Performance soundtrack (the one in Dan's original post).

    Here's the Metamorphosis version, were Jagger almost sounds like he's rapping the verses:

    Last I recall New York and San Antonio were tied at two
