Of all the pedal review videos, that was an unexpected clean sound. It was cleaner than the clean sounds on a lot of "country" oriented pedal demos. I like that, even if it doesn't chug.

A RAT can play like a fuzz where turning the guitar volume down it cleans up. Stacking an overdrive in front of a RAT does good things too.

Yeah, that was silly. But kind of an honest review. I know all about all the wonders of the Rat, but I was impressed that the clean comparison tone was actually pretty clean.

I thought his clean tone was dull, like he stuffed a pillow in front of the speaker. I guess the metal guys have to do that, their high gain stages generate all the upper harmonics they need.

Was just running my Rat through a few amps; definitely reacts differently, where through clean SS amps sounds fantastic (JC120, Pravey Special 130), through the Peavey C30 does a decent job.

I find that in the loop it doesn't sound bad in this clip, when he put it in front it sounds like s--- though... Not at all how I remember my Rat to be. It might have to do with that amp, I guess. Pretty nice the sound with SD-1 boosting the Rat, instead
