Exactly. I am reminded of my first impressions of Ravi Malek in Mr. Robot; how his odd and imperfectly fascianting appearance so beautifully delivered an added, crucial element to the story. Indeed. While I may quibble with its conventionalism, I, too, inwardly cheered just as hard as when Jimmy Chitwood drained the final shot. I told my wife, when Beth saw that plaza full of chess players for the first time, "This series is going to end right back here," though I wasn't sure with Beth as queen or just another pawn sacrificed to the chess gods.
