The old serie. Is it any good ? i am 3 episodes in, i like 2 and i couldn't finish the 3rd one.
It is absolutely classic. Dig in and be exposed to what was considered, at the time, subversive.
Don't let The Zanti get you, like Bruce Dern did.
i saw this episode. The one i didn't like was not a sci fi episode, but more of a sci fi political thriller one.
Is the 3rd episode the one where humans turn into pigs?
no it was the hundred days of the dragon
an East Asian government plans to take over America by replacing White House officials and leading corporate executives with duplicate agents. They want to force the United States to pull out of Asia. The expected winner of the next presidential election is candidate William Lyons Selby (Sidney Blackmer). While on the campaign trail, he is killed and replaced by a foreign agent who has had his face molded (using a new medical serum that temporarily plastisizes the skin) to resemble Selby. The mole, masquerading as Selby, is eventually elected. Though he fools the nation, the president's daughter begins to suspect that the man is not her father. She reveals her concerns to the Vice-President, Ted Pearson (Phillip E. Pine), who had also been targeted for replacement, but the attempt is unsuccessful.
i loved it when i was a kid. it was pretty wild for that time.
It's peculiar how I remember the theme music, but I don't remember any particular episode (I was around 10 years old when it originally aired).
Not to hijack the thread, but around the same time. a science fiction series called The Time Tunnel was on the air. I don't remember its theme music, but individual episodes covered
the adventures of a pair of time travelers who were near historical events, such as the Battle of the Alamo or the attacks on Pearl Harbor. They would try to alter the outcome of history.
It was somewhat entertaining, but predictable.
Honestly it's probably one of the best shows I've ever seen especially for the sci-fi genre. Some episodes are quite disturbing as well. Great storytelling like The Twilight Zone and fantastic use of effective simplicity.
Now that you've started you'll have to binge the whole series. It's the rules.
A great series. Some easy to watch and dome quite disturbing for the times. Twilight Zone and Outer Limits were so different for being the same basic genre.
I knew people that loved one but hated the other. A different story telling format
I, personally, love both. That may explain something about me then and now
It is a cheeseburger deluxe cool series! Seek out your twelve year old kid brain memory to watch it. A wonderful disturbing period piece series indeed.
That episode freaked me out back when! The faces on the ants! Creepy.
It has its moments for sure. I have binge watched all of those but getting tougher to keep doing it. I did check out some "Time Tunnel" hoping for some zing in the form of Lee Meriwether but she's pretty buttoned down here. Time Tunnel is especially ridiculous because they never just wind up somewhere that nothing is really going on, like 98% of reality. It's always some pivotal event in history and they just blast in and start messing with it, damn the timeline and the sound of thunder and all that. Ray Bradbudy Theatre is another good one.
cool show...dont give up on it
I will watch the 2 seasons, and then to the twilight zone.
Thanks for the input everybody.
Right. Like Twilight Zone, but a lot weirder.
This gave the creeps too!!!
The bigfoot episode was a good one. And this was back in the 50's.
This series is new to you? Oh, yes- you must!!!
