hi folks (sorry if this thread is considered too old for CPR, I'm new here)

I can give you a rough date for your Super Champ if you'll let me know the serial number. Actually I can do that for all 14 amps in the Rivera-era... been collecting serial numbers since 2004. I know, I should get out more.

Post here, or email me via my website

The other guitarist in my band plays a Super Champ (when he's not using his original Princeton Reverb)
    the Serial number is F203506
I estimated year 1982-83, does that sound right or can you pinpoint it a bit more?

    cheers

there you go... my work here is done (for that amp) but every s/n helps a little... especially if your s/n _isn't_ in my data - it helps me home in on batch 'end markers' a little more, and even after 13 years evidence of a new batch can appear in a bank of s/ns that I thought were unused...

    Hi Guys,

I'm new to this club, but am the proud owner of an '82 Super Champ with the EV10 speaker.

Can anyone tell me if any of the current Fender models have a slip cover that will fit the Super Champ?

    Thanks Mojmud.

    Just an FYI-

I’ve decided to part out my 80’s super champ. The original amp, the 12” custom cab and C-Rex speaker, and an extra 6C10 tube are for sale.

Hit me up if you’re interested

What does 'part out' mean? DO you have the original cabinet...or just a chassis with an aftermarket 12" cab?

    Hey Wally,
If you look back in the threads, you'll see that I had JD Newall build me a custom cabinet for my SC to fit a 12" speaker. I still had all original cab and speaker. So, I've put it back to stock for sale. The amps and new pieces are for sale.

Do you still have the cab/speaker/tube for sale? I just scored an '83 Super Champ and would love to get it working with a 12"..

Hey guys it's pretty cool to join this club! I came across this beauty at the shop I go hang out at yesterday. It was the owners personal (one of) amp and he brought it from the back when I told him I was thinking about picking up a small amp for home use. The thing looks brand new it's crazy. It was built in 83 from what I can dig up. One preamp tube had been changed. I now know (or I should say I think) the one tube I didn't wanted to have to buy is on its way out lol. It creates a weird "whooshing" sounds behind certain notes, mostly A notes, but only when the reverb is turned on. I can live with that at least until it starts to drive me crazy. Man those 6c10 tubes are expensive if you can find one! I'm surprised to hear myself say I WILL buy one though. This little amp is definitely good enough.
