Another thread got me thinking about musicians (I include singers) I wish I had seen but never did - either my mistake or they lived before my time. Wondering Who others missed out on. What one artist would you want to have seen most of all?
For me, at least today, it’s Charlie Parker.

Muddy Waters. He and Eric Clapton did the Fathers & Sons tour when I was 15. They came to St. Paul, but for some reason I didn't go.

Another big regret is Prince. I know plenty of people who went to after-hours shows at Paisley Park, or were at a club when he performed unannounced--but I never saw him.

Why on earth would you not include singers? Anyway, Robert Johnson.

Jim Croce, he was coming to St Louis in the spring but back in the fall. Something else was going on that night. I’ll just wait until he comes back. He didn’t make it.
There are lots, but for the ones we could have but didn't:

Long ago, my buddies and I were set on getting tickets for announced tours / upcoming shows for both Led Zeppelin; then Bonham passed, and AC/DC - then Bon passed. Still ticks me off.

BB King - he played in Red Bank NJ; I'll go next time around - nope.
Same for Gary Rossington; didn't make it. Though there wasn't much left of Skynrd, I still wanted to see them / him and missed them the last few times around.

We saw the Paul Rodgers Band a few years ago, fantastic. Would have liked to have seen Bad Co. with Mick Ralphs.
On the way out, there was a poster for upcoming Meatloaf show. We were going to get tickets but didn't; now he is gone.

We saw the Eagles the summer before Glen Frey passed.
Great night; good to see Bernie Leadon, and Joe Walsh just rocked the house.
My motivation was exactly that - not waiting until next time.
(We saw Don Felder open for Styx a few weeks ago - great time!)

We saw Gordon Lightfoot last year; now he is gone. Glad we made it.
His singing voice was not the same, but it was still great.

We have tickets for both Foreigner and George Thorogood shows later this year.
Hope nobody croaks in the meantime.

Tom Petty.
Linda Ronstadt.
Joni Mitchell.
SRV.
Freddie King
Eagles
Allman Bros.

I think I did see the Eagles early on in their career, but would have liked to see them after some of their better albums.

I saw Hendrix 3 times! It was mostly loud and showy. Definitely not as good as the albums, but it was impactful like the start of Foxy Lady etc!
