After years of thinking I'd never want a one pickup guitar, I took a chance on a demo Gibson Les Paul Junior from Sweetwater in October, and I can't put the darn thing down!

Congratulations!
I have only owned one single pickup guitar.
It was a 56 Junior, and I got it in 1973.
Didn’t bond.
Personally, I have never owned a 12 string acoustic guitar.
When I was 12 (hmmmmm), it was my heart’s desire.
Somehow my Dad dissuaded me, and in the almost 55 years I’ve been playing, no 12 string acoustic.
So, I kinda want one.
Something easy to play, with a cutaway.
Maybe a Takamine or Yamaha.
I’ve had a few electric 12s, no Ricky’s, though.
I kinda want one of those, too.
Either a Roger McGuinn or a Tom Petty.
Better save up!
Thanks for listening.

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol, VA, is a must for any fan of country music, but especially for fans of very early (recorded) country music and all that it inspired. For those of you not in the know, the museum is a tribute to the "Bristol Sessions" of 1927. I had the pleasure of visiting it for the first time yesterday. I'm a long time Carter Family fan, et al, so to see where it all started for them, and others, was a real treat.

I really enjoyed my day yesterday.
I had lunch with my friend Wade at Shoal Creek Saloon.
They make great Cajun gumbo.
I then visited my old haunt and bought a cool MIJ Hohner L59 LP Custom knockoff.
Pics later.
Afterwards I recorded a song demo of Pancho & Lefty with my friend Kelly.
Dinner was fantastic roast chicken.
After dinner I went to my friend Scott’s place and we played guitars, sang and had a couple of cocktails.
Life’s good, y’all!

I had a good day at work today.
I did two set ups, and sold a nice, virtually new Fender AV 62’ Tele Custom.

Snow expected tonight, finally. It's been a warm and dry winter so far. It'll be nice to get some snow for the first time since we moved to the NC mountains from the Colorado mountains.
