Kind of surprised the Dolphins aren't involved somehow.

I watched the game with my friend from Iowa, who is a huge Iowa fan. We were all together about an hour before kickoff, watching other games too. My friend was saying the entire time, "I hope I'm wrong, but we won't be able to stop McCaffrey. He'll score the first time he touches the ball."

That's not hyperbole - that's what he said. So when that happened... wow.

Did anyone else catch the post-game interview with McCaffrey, where some annoying guy standing behind him kept saying, "Heisman"... "Heiiiiiiiiismaaaaaan"... "Heismaaaaaaaaaan" ... and making goofy faces at the camera.

It looked like a friend of McCaffrey's maybe?? And he was obviously embarrassed at the guy, trying to ignore him.

They should try it. The NFL isn't working out.

The guy was a tool! To make it worse, I believe he knew he was being a tool!

The last 2 days have been some of the worst college football I've ever seen. Of course, having a month off certainly doesn't help, but the bowl system is a complete mess now.

Stanford wins by 29 points. Is that really the most one-sided game (even a Rose Bowl game) in history?

Hell, last year Oregon beat Florida State by 39 points.
In 2008, USC beat Illinois by 32 points.
In 1984, UCLA beat Illinois by 36 points.

The worst Rose Bowl blowout was Michigan beating USC 49-0 in 1948.

Here's a fun article about Bowl Game Blowouts in the last five years. The year's Rose Bowl doesn't make the cut.

Now, how about we measure the worst college ball exaggerations of all time? :D

It was 35-0 in the second quarter when I made the thread and it was totally lopsided at that time.

The same thing happened with the NCAA tournament. "Play in games" means it starts with a slow roll rather than a slam dunk, oh-who's-playing? rather than I'm-taking-the-day-off exhilaration. Spreading things out leads to more potential viewers but also to a loss of interest. As usual, trying to perfect pretty good just made it worse.

Man, we need an 8 team playoff system to avoid beatdowns like this. Imagine if Alabama had to face Stanford instead of Michigan State. That's a helluva game.
