I've seen lots of beautiful guitars over the years and just wonder if anyone here has pictures of the most beautiful guitars they've ever seen? Most times it's about the top but it can also be about design / shape, specific clear coated wood, etc.

And the new one, being built now. I should have it by the end of July...

My R8, it has a little bit of everything going on in its top and I never want to put it down.

The most beautiful ever personally was probably this Ibanez. Maybe the only guitar I regret selling.

If we're going by instruments we own personally, I'd have to go with my 2000 R9 Les Paul:

Not a guitar, but I always come back -- thanks to the internet -- to this image of The Trixon Speedfire drum kit. Germany, 1955. What on earth did it sound like? Such a beautiful thing.

There’s something about the Fireglo on my Ric I’ll never get tired of staring at...and the shape of the body. Just a piece of art. BA458E59-2913-4AAF-9957-0E19DF66F315.jpeg

    I will eventually have one.

This picture isn't of a Strat I own. Its not even of a Strat I "need"--it doesn't offer anything sonically that I can't get out of one of my other Strats. But its so pretty I saved the picture when a poster at another site submitted it:

I have some beautiful guitar photos in my Gallery,
but of the guitars I own ( all cheaper player stuff, nice-looking, all)

I'll just go with my Epi SG ( 2018, it last year). It is just a hoot to play, and pretty!
    20200624_094148.jpg

Edit- for those who may not know,

that is a thin mahogany veneer over the top ( and back) to hide a 3 piece laminated ( blocks) body.

I'm fine with this as it is a cost-cutter on this model Epi SG ( difference between an Epi and Gibson)- looks fine to me.

Photos really don't do it justice as there's a metric button load of sparkle in that paint... IMG_20160521_171615.jpg

Might be a little shred-ey for present company but my MIJ Ibanez Herman Li signature in dragon’s blood red. Flame maple top with red-orange stain & gold hardware.
