the biggest thing wrong with Guinness, the sweet black nectar of the Emerald Isle, is that it doesn't last long enough. I can run through a sixer of extra stout in no time at all. There has got to be an Irishman in my ancestral woodpile somewhere.

and I love the Cranberries. also, Celtic Woman.

Was it a different experience for dentists watching the Pogues than it was for the rest of us?

Guinness Draught is pretty low alcohol, comparatively. It takes a lot.

It was way more shocking seeing their video for the first time in my college years (late 90's), than now after 10 years of dental practice.

Love Guinness. It’s even better when you bomb a shot of Tia Maria coffee liqueur into it :)

This is true - so let's drink more, and some more, and more. Don't forget to hoist a pint to Shane McGowan while you're at it! Saw the Pogues in '89 or so with Mojo Nixon and the Violent Femmes. Shane was a mess, but they still sounded great. And Mojo was funny as **** - Debbie Gibson's pregnant with my two headed love child....

Guinness and Irish Whiskey go together like a tele and a tweed champ. Sometimes I'll drink more expensive stouts, but Guinness is ALWAYS good. Extra Stout, Foreign Extra, Draught, I like all of them.

I definitely need to try that one. I've had a few other Brooklyn beers and they were real good IIRC.

My oldest son just recently bought some, to see what the fuss was about. He didn't care for it, and gave it to me.
He's more a hard cider type guy, when it comes to alcohol, and pretty sparingly at that

It just doesn't taste the same in the US as it does in the UK.
