It’s just too sexy and has been calling my name for years now.

Resistance was futile. I see that now…

50’s Standard. I looked at the Murphy, but that was just a little too out of reach.

The Murphy’s are silly. Les Paul’s with p90s sound about as good as a guitar can sound. I bet you love it. I have a classic wt p90s in black. It sounds splendid

I don’t really like the crackling in the finish on the Murphy.

You can not go wrong with that guitar. Gold tops have always been my favorite Les Paul color, maybe tied with faded white. But throw in those P90s and its a deal made in heaven. DO IT!!

I had a 52, my father walked in in the middle of summer and I could tell right away what style of guitar was in that beat up brown case. He set it down and said Merry Christmas for a while. It was one of those first ones with the bad bridge but the pick ups were probably the best p90’s that I’ve heard to this day, The Interplay of the volumes and tones, it would do everything, From sweet and chime like, to raucous, And when driven hard through my smaller fender and Gibson amps or my buddies JCM 800, when I would get that bloom and feedback it would go into higher harmonics. What you are looking at I would consider to be the guitar fully realized, as that bridge was for the birds. My girl got me that style of strap in black for my birthday at my request, but I used it on my Jackson as I need a wider one for my L.P.’s. I say jokingly pull the trigger on the guitar otherwise you may shoot yourself in the head!
