Nada. Went and gifted myself a new Bialetti espresso maker and a really nice new french press. Which turned out to be too small.

Oh and 4 kilos of coffee - should see me through New Year :p :D

In my extended family, only kids get gifts. There’s no reason for me and my brother in law to continue trading one Home Depot gift card for another. We get together for a family dinner, then the kids open gifts. Best holiday decision we’ve made. Only my wife and I exchange gifts. I got 2 Hanes Beefy Ts henleys, a new wallet, and a Christmas ornament with a picture of my dearly departed Robo, the ambiguous terrier of love. I’m a grown up and I can buy my own stuff.

I am thoroughly jealous! Let’s see P90s, Bigsby, no inlays, no neck binding, checkered pickguard, Vintage tuners, checkered truss rod cover ! Dang ! If it was two knob instead of four nob I’d say it fell from heaven just for me !

    You did good :)

I have acquired my 15th back scratcher! Or nephew whippin stick as I like to call it:p

My wife bought me new Vivo barefoot shoes, but the store screwed up the order, so no shoes for me.

Don’t mind. Made a deal on a ‘72 Guild F-50 three days before Christmas Eve. I WIN!

I’m Jewish. I’m used to getting nothing for Christmas!

Trixie and I don't 'do' Christmas anymore, we figuratively 'hunker down' and wait for it to be over, though her employer will be having a sorta-Christmas party/dinner at a local restaurant around the 6th of January, so we'll attend that, but otherwise, it's just us four...Trixie, me, and the two cats.

    I ordered myself a chainsaw.
I'm gonna act surprised when I open it.

Sorry folks. Let me counter this depressing topic with the most incredibly great Christmas gift that this old fart has ever received.

Had a little video chat with our son, his wife, and our two year old grandson. Son asked the boy if he had something to show us. He turned so we could see that his tee shirt said:

    I AM
    THE
    BIG BROTHER

Nothing. I gave my wife a scarf she doesn't want. I expected that. Gave our adult kids a few things they need. Mostly looking forward to eating the bread and pie I made for when we visit my parents later on.

After that, the present I really want is the space on the basement floor that I'll have when I clean the junk out of there this evening. I really want that. I'll be able to stand there. Or put a chair there. Or even play a guitar there. Or just look at it. It's going to be great.

I ordered a Lovepedal EPH-3 for my nephew. It was purely an impulse buy when Sean did a blast sale last month. My wife already got him a bunch of stuff so this was going to be an add-on present (I didn't tell her about it).

But it never came. So now it may turn out to be my 2018 Xmas gear present to myself. He hasn't opened his presents yet. So I need to gauge his level of satisfaction before i reach a decision.

I'm about to get JOY! (going to my daughters house for Christmas dinner) while watching my granddaughter's tear into their presents:). The wife and I celebrate Christmas in a more traditional way (gifts not the CenterPoint) but forum rules preclude a detailed explanation. I did have an early Christmas getting my Fender 64 CDR Hand Wired in November. Stocking stuffer was a Line 6 HX Effects.

As a letter carrier for USPS these days, I got the one thing that I really wanted....a day off. Right now, I am enjoying a rum and coke and doing absolutely nothing. A glorious gift after the non-stop holiday delivery schedule.
