    Hi guys,
I’m fairly new to the world of telecaster I have a 2018 mim tele, I’ve been changing things a little at a time mainly: locking fender tuners, baja control plate with 4 way switch and S1 in/out phase button, fret crown and polish, Switchcraft jack, fender string tree, mint green pickguard. I am really happy with it but my question is: will replacing the stock mim pickups with tone rider hot classics be worth the relatively small investment. Will it make the tone even better.
I get that music is subjective to the listener but thought I’d pull on the knowledge of this great group.
    Cheers for any help

I really like the trt2 bridge pickup.
Doesn't sound way over wound, good note definition and never harsh.

Have not tried the neck version, or the new mim pickups.

I just fitted a set to my DIY thinline and I'm very happy with them. Also fitted a 4-way switch to be able to put neck and bridge in series, this combination gives a great sound..........

Ahh okay dougstrum, was thinking of getting the set neck and bridge, good to hear the bridge is not too harsh was one of my worries.
    Thanks for the reply

Good to hear, the 4th position really does add something special to the already great tone of the tele doesn’t it. Probably more so with the TRT2 pickups I’d imagine

Let us know how you like them. The neck is supposed to be clear so bet it will be a versatile set.
My trt2 is paired with a mini hum, covers a lot of territory for 2 pickup guitar:)
