By chance i stumbled upon this concert in the 3Sat Mediathek.
Willie is wearing the Mother of all Vokuhila-(Mullet?) Haircuts while Reggie Young plays the most amazing Telecaster Sounds. Great great music with some fake trumpets on top. Willie’s Phrasing and Haircut are really something worth checking out.

Sorry, you missed them by about 7 years.

The original Highwaymen were a '50s folk group from Connecticut. "Michael" was their big hit. They sued over the name, but I think it was just so they could meet their heroes.
