    That’s awful stuff.

I was guessing this was about being taken over by tourists, not life and death.

I hope you’re spared and the fires don’t go to your place.

Feel ya. The West is on fire (again). It's awful. We need to change our relationship with the Earth.

May the wind and rain bless you. We have friends on the east side of the cascades that had to evac last week.

its so dry up here now and the rain is not in the forcast , the main issue is the fires are so hot they create their own weather patterns , every thing gained by the fire fighters is lost when the wind whips up again.

Seems like it's going to be a thing every summer now, not only in the North American west, but everywhere there are trees. And we need trees!
We lived through it in Oregon last summer (and summers past), though our area was spared. But it's hotter this summer and still a long way to go.
Take care, 24 Track. Sounds like you're heeding the warnings, as you need to be. It moves awfully fast. I wish you the best!

Hang in there. We were evacuated from our cabin last summer... for several weeks (fire started in Sept and ended right at Christmas) I watched the apps with the aircraft fighting the fire and the heat maps from space... very difficult.

get the really important things ready and hope you don't have to go, but if you get the order... go.

sending good thoughts and hopes your way.

five years ago I got hit with pine beetle , killed 27 tress from april to July , so in August I took them all out all my neightbours let them drop and diid not buck up the fallings , so it could be dicey , I let the grass grow because the deer gave birth up the back , so tommorrow I'm going up to drop the grasses so they cant flare up ., and if I do get pulled out of here Im going leave a sprinkler running on the roof untill we can come back .

Fingers crossed for ya, @24 track ! If you get evacuated and need a place to stay, I’ve got some friends here on the island who are pretty gullible. I’ll trick them into leaving their house, and you can run in and lock the door.
