The Postie delivered my body and neck from GSPBASSES (a Uk Luthier) yesterday, and Ive wasted no time getting it together, heres what was delivered.
I'ts a tribute to my partners Dad, she doesn't know yet!

Yes, I know it's a Strat outline, but it's a Thinline and there's no mamby pamby comfort curves, AND theres a Tele Bridge, think of it as a Tele with a top horn! OK, I'll shut up now!........

and today's progress, body stained with Quink waterproof ink and acouple of coats of Tru Oil, the neck was stained with a mixture of Antique Pine and Light Oak woodstain, then Tru Oiled as well, then the transfer applied

Pickups etc have been mocked and mounted, more to come next week....The body needs more Tru Oil!

    Cheers!

    Cool!
A Strat without any annoying Strat features!

Very nice. That dye on the top is great. And the birdseye on that neck is incredible. Can we see the back of it?

I could have bought a fairly decent complete guitar for what this neck cost!

    Cheers!

My strat neck is pretty similar. Yes, it cost a reasonable guitar, but totally worth it :)

I have a neck that looks somewhat like yours. Don't know if I will ever use it though.
I forgot that I also have a roasted maple neck.

Very fine looking build. I look forward to the completed pics. And I'd really like to hear it. Should be an interesting tone.
