No matter where I put it--out of the way, on a shelf, in a cabinet: there it is on its side. Often but not always leaking

Glue bottles--titebond, superglue, you name it--exist in some sort of null pocket, some region of space time where gusts of gravitational waves knock them over. I don't understand.

In a few minutes I'll go down to the workshop and the glue bottle will be on its side.

Also in the night the ding fairy comes and leaves tiny ding, dent and scratch shaped footprints which were not there when I went to bed. Maybe she knocks the glue bottle over

I had a similar problem with CA glue and with Weld-On Acrylic Cement, both of which I used a considerable amount of in a job I had about 25 years ago. They'd always get tipped over and the CA tip would clog. The Weld-On was in a needle-tip dispenser bottle, and it would leak out and evaporate.

I eventually made acrylic holders for the bottles with openings the bottles fit in and which were deep enough that the bottles could not tip over. I made the base of the holders wide enough that they would not tip over.

Not only solved my problem, but I always knew where my adhesives were!

I got nothing for the ding fairy problem...

The ding fairy must get around. I'm in CA and she certainly never misses an opportunity to swing by my house.

I attached a plastic cup to the wall next to my workbench, and set the glue bottle in there (can't tip over, always in arms reach when I need it). It is one of my shop features I am most proud of!

Me and the ding fairy, on the other hand, are still doing battle ... and I seem to be losing.

Epoxy a square of thin scrap to the bottom of your bottle. Make sure it sticks out about 1/2" all around.

You have an issue with glue bottles falling over.

    You have glue.

There is a solution here somewhere, I'll let you know when/if I figure it out.

Get enough glue fumes and you'll be able to see the ding fairy.

I feel your pain, man. I have a coffee can, half filled with wood shavings. I keep the glue bottle in it upside down; I hate it when you have to shake and squeeze the stupid bottle to get the glue out, and it just makes that pffftt sound, 'cause all the glue is on the bottom.

The kids finished up a pancake syrup container a couple of years back that was designed to be upside down with a flip lid. I cleaned it out and fill it from my one-gallon jug of wood glue. I just flip the lid open and squeeze it out. None of the glue bottle problems like clogged tip, pliers needed to open the tip, bottle falling over, glue dripping out. I've since saved a spare for the day when I knock the glue bottle off the bench to the concrete and the cap breaks off. It will happen.

Ding fairy conspires with the sandpaper at my shop.
