I LOVE my Gretsch 6112 II and Tenesee Rose.

Its taken awhile but I now also love my 2015 Gibson Les Paul Standard even with (especially with) the robo tuners, wide neck and "apparently" disgusting Les Paul Signature (which I dont even recall seeing since the first day).

My latest acquisition: SuperChamp 15W tube head in a 12" speaker cabinet. Plus a bunch of digital modeling. Most fun than I've had lately with my clothes on!

BC6AAF61-C01E-4ED6-8AB6-3E591BA54FF9.jpeg I started playing guitar in the 90s. My dad was a baby boomer who had a locally successful garage band in the mid 1960s. He talked about his beloved Super Reverb that was long gone. Now back in the 90s there was no Super Reverb reissue. I still have the receipt for this dating back to April 2000 when he bought it for me at the old Chicago Music Exchange.

I was pretty happy 18 year old and I think my dad was feeling pretty nostalgic.

I don’t use it live much any more but I’ll never part with it. Dad passed away in 2001. He missed seeing me play it live in many bars.

The Strat is a 2015 56 reissue that has become my personal favorite.

My teles. If only I could find a website dedicated to nothing but discussing telecasters and life's little oddities, my world would be complete. Wait...

When I was about 17-18 Y.O. I used to play lead guitar in what was a group made up of guys that went to school together.
I was serving a 5 year apprenticeship as a TV technician (all B & W in those days) and my boss was going to England for a holiday so I asked him if he could get me a BURNS ORBIT 3 amplifier. I first saw the Burns amps one night at a Digger Revel concert and we were invited backstage after the show and had a great time with the guys in the band. I asked "Tex" the lead player of the band how he got his sharp and clear sound and he fired up his Burns Orbit 3 amp and gave me a play, and of course I had to have one!

The amplifier arrived eventually and it was just (as you Americans say) AWESOME !!!! They have three 10" speakers.

We had a permanent Friday Night gig of our own ( a stomp in those days) in a small hall opposite the police station and the Burns would pick up the police radio transmitter at the station sometimes, because the tower was high and very close. One night we heard something along the lines of ......"Car six get around to Fallon House and get the band to turn down the volume ......the theatre manager in the main street is complaining they can't hear the movie! "

Wish I still had that amp it was brilliant......one night it was used for two guitars and two mics all night!

    I just scored my first
Well-Hung guitar strap. I’m more excited by this purchase than anything I’ve acquired in quite a while. It’s incredibly comfortable with the thick padding and seems to make the guitar feel like it shed a few pounds. It is really well made as well as gorgeous. It matches my Mary Kay tele like the materials were hand selected for it. Brad, who I believe is a member here was awesome to deal with and fast to respond to all of my questions. I have a beautiful collection of straps from all over the world, this is my favorite, hands down

Yes, he is DEFINITELY a member here. :D That tricked out Mary Kay telecaster is drop-dead magnificent. Like world class details.

For me, one of my fave all time gear gets has been this knock-off Stellar Paul, b-stocked super cheap 'cause the fretboard was lifting near the nut. Twern't but a quick fix, (and I proceeded to mod it like crazy) but I've had several real deal owners go "Whoa!" after ripping on 'er a bit.

Ah, Swart. Helped a couple folks make that choice. I think they owe me residuals. Sadly haven’t acquired one myself. They are awesome.

    Cheers,
