What brands of gear do you flat out hate, even though other love it.
And get great sounds out of. Or not..

    a few of mine.

    lace pickups, all of them

Orange and vox amps, just never plugged into one that inspired me,
    The way others So.

    Rickenbacker.

I do love the Beatles though..lol

    The beetles :)

i don't hate any gear. some of it is just not for me, like the ibanez artcore line, i am def their intended target audience, yet every artcore I've held felt toy-ish to me, in comparision to my not-sure-how-many artchtops (more than 9)

DR strings. I have never had strings go dead so quickly and consistently. I have a love/hate with Dean guitars. They all play wonderfully, but they look gimmicky to me, mainly the strat and LP-inspired guitars. I have always liked the ML (thanks, Dime) and the Cadillac grew on me. The rest of them look like life-size toys to me. Let me add Bronze series BC Rich to that list also. They play really good for an entry level guitar but they look cheap and crappy. Especially with the Kerry King tattoo paint job.

EMG Pickups - They make every guitar they're in sound the same.
Parker Fly guitars - I'm sure in the right hands they play/sound wonderful..but I just don't care for the design. It looks like computer hardware instead of a guitar.
Bigsbys - Heavy, fussy, and ugly.
Travis Bean guitars - Any one I've ever handled weighed a ton. The metal neck is cold and uninviting.

I always chuckle at the artist signature EMG 81/85 pickups. I'm pretty sure they're box-stock 81/85's. They work good for modern heavy music in the right amp, but they are a one-trick pony!

+1 on the EMGs @ElJay370 I have the same experience.

Floyd Rose Bridges and locking nuts, I never can seem to get them right.

Jumbo frets, I must have a heavy fretting hand but I just struggle to play anything not sharp.

The gear I hate are the ones I purchased and had to sell it for a loss because I didn’t bond with it..

I think this goes beyond “Brands”.

Why are people always focusing on things they hate? I think we have enough negativity out there as it is

Hate is far too strong a word for it really, but yep, I'd totally agree on that :)

My relationship with my Epiphone Casino is complicated. I don't hate it, I want to love it, and a lot of times I do love it. But I've also been very very disappointed in some of the things it chooses to be.

But hey, let's face it; the only thing that deserves our unconditional love is the Beatles. Everything else has to earn its keep, amIright @blowtorch? ;)

I'm not in the hate position, I think... I'd rather say that I simply discard, or have no consideration / interest (rightly or wrongly) for instruments like this :

Etc... And most of time the music styles usually associated with...

    But it's me, OK ? :D
