ugghh also not for me but to each their own
I'm with Mark!
wow those tao teles look superb.. and look VERY expensive. i would play one of those loud and proud!
i would've done a more modern bridge though, and maybe a graphite neck even
i generally like modern guitar designs like parker as well. but im not really a fan of super strats... not too much progression there. they look clunky and pointy, not elegant and beautiful, like a guitar should be, IMO.
I wonder what was the reaction when people saw the very first telecaster...
the interesting thing to me about electric guitars today it's the fact that is a lo-fi instrument based on a ancient technology and design... and still we created around it a world of digital and techno devices in order to cope with the modern needs ... like a cyber-granny... so she can survive.... if on one side i think that is remarkable and romantic on the other side it doesn't push on a real evolution of the instrument using modern technology....
Might play and sound great but I don't dig the looks.
I'd like to hear what that "fluted" hollow body sounds like. Sound holes pointed towards the player could be interesting ?
Not my taste, but to each their own.
Dude...this guitar has nothing to do with a telecaster other than some ripped off similarities and the sappy reference to Leo. Not even sure why this isn't moved to "Other guitars" section.
Nobody has a single thing against introducing new guitars, just don't dis people cause they point this ain't a tele and looks nothing like one.
Not a good modding platform.
Well, this looks more like a danelectro to me. The lace cybercaster looked pretty futuristic, and had that helical 8 degree neck thing.
A Tele for George Jetson?
Interesting interpretation of the original Telecaster design concepts. Not sure I'd want to own it but I always enjoy seeing what results from taking a design in a different direction.
That is not a Tele.
It looks like the designers changed most of the iconic aspects of the guitar (to look different and to avoid a lawsuit I guess!) and it all looks horribly wrong.
kinda looks like an upscale danelectro T Style to me
That example was intended as a starting point of discussion.... It's not even a fender for that matter... I just wanted to see if from there we can go somewhere...
My point was... Fender is doing infinite number of versions of telecaster... They are even go in directions like "the new vintage" telecaster... which is a bit ridiculous in my opinion... It's like they are squeezing every bit of their history in order to keep their products "fresh"... In long terms I don't think that's a smart strategy... They may have indeed their classic production of course... But I would also love to see a more contemporary design and take around the telecaster either from a design point of view or by attitude... The actual American standard is still very conservative to me....
Couldn't agree more. Let's see some NEW ORIGINAL models. Some innovation.
