    Here’s some food for thought:

    TROLLING:
Deliberately posting something controversial that one could reasonably assume would cause disruption is never permitted. Posting an opposite opinion, in a determined stubborn way, simply to start a disruption is not permitted. Opposite opinions are NOT against the rules and are encouraged, but trolling for disagreement and arguments is against the rules of the page.

    Just saying...

Tele > Esquire. Almost everybody goes for a Tele, almost nobody goes for an Esquire. I love Esquires. I love Teles more. Though that list was just for fun, it's reasonable. Especially the double-neck.

Thank you. I posted not to stir but to discuss. If I’ve upset anyone I’m truly sorry.

I was being playfully sarcastic.. ;-)

Here's my count of 'what's wrong'...

    1) See-through guitar
    2) Guitar worn at chin level
    3) Home made blue jean cut-offs worn onstage
    4) Cut on left knee

    There could be more things......

The author thinks the Steinberger Spirit is a good guitar? I was going to buy one just for fun, but watched some review videos just to be sure. This was the one I watched first, and then I didn't need to watch any others. Or buy the guitar either.

And yeah, Esquires are fun. I've built one, and have plans for another.

Well, I guess the double neck Esqure/Telecaster that forum member Scatter Lee made some years ago is really out of the question then...

Like most people I disagree with the author on the Esquire being included, if only because although it is simpler than a Tele, it does still have tonal options at the flick of a switch, whereas a LP jnr doesn't, so his argument is not very well thought through. Personally I would be very happy to own either an Esquire or a LP jnr (or both). Never had an Esquire, but had a LP jnr DC for a while and loved it.

I also disagree to an extent on the doubleneck choice. I had a 6/12 many years ago because I wanted to do things it could do. If I ever wanted a 12 string again I would probably choose a doubleneck. Also had a jaguar/jazzmaster doubleneck. Very cumbersome, yes, but the idea of having two different guitars in one is (to me) very appealing. As might be the idea of having a doubleneck for different tunings in one instrument. Personally I am very attracted to the idea of a 6/octave doubleneck as a potential future guitar.

And not that I personally would want one (see comment about my preference for a doubleneck over a single 12 string above) but the Bich 10 string is historically important, and absolutely screams 1970s at you. I guess the same could be true of the Steinberger and the 80s.

    You think?

To me that article is just clickbait. Writing random nonsense for advertising revenue.
