The person that wrote that piece is a funny guy.

At least I think he's being a funny guy.

If he's 100% serious, it's probably because he's apparently one of those players that has forgotten virtually every guitar has a volume control and a tone control. If that is the case, he needs tissues because he has issues.

None of those guitars appeal to me, even the Esquire; I like tele neck pickups too much....

    Pretty lame list....

Is the Spirit a good guitar? Yes it is. Does it sound good? Yes it does. Does it play well? Again, yes... don't buy one... don't buy a good guitar that sounds good and plays well...

    w/e dude.

Plus, lots of people play Esquires and acrylic bodied guitars....

So this should be a diffinate no..... bcgdblm6.jpg

He said don't buy a Spirit because it looks bad (so looking good is important), then he said the only reason to buy a double neck is to look good (so buying a guitar for looks is dumb). Also don't buy because they all sound terrible, so 1960 Gibsons didn't come with PAFs.

I am willing to bet this is someone that bought a guitar to impress people then doesn't play because it hurts his fingers and the only reason for this story is he stayed up late drinking and and had to write something, anything, before the deadline his editor gave him.

The fact the Esquire is on this list proves he knows less than nothing.

I like this idea! How about a Steinberger acrylic, double neck, with bridge pickups only.

After I wrote that, now I want one.:)

Okay, no guitar player that people have heard about prefers an acrylic guitar.

The oh-sees and various other names that sound the same. Not everyone's cup of char but worth a listen at least once, great modern psych/garage stuff!

Sorry, that Esquire just has to go. I'll send you my shipping address, once I receive it, I'll make sure you don't have to put up with it anymore. This is a totally free service!
