I just added the last item for the build of my JTM45 clone...... my own name plate. This amp represents the end of my amplifier tone chasing. It is literally perfect for my style of playing. Possibly the most beautiful clean voice I have ever heard, and it comes from a Marshal type. Who knew.

That is awsome. Enjoy! I'll admit I like it's style of clean too.

No. Terry from D-Lab doesn't actually play guitar. He's an engineer/tech. Not a tone chasing musician. Not that one couldn't be both. Lots of those here. But Terry is not.

    Wow! Incredibly beautiful amp, @Ironwolf

Man, that's beautiful, my ultimate amp.
I completely agree with you on Marshall cleans.

    Beautiful! Congrats!

SRV, before the Dumble era, always said he was backwards because he used Marhsalls for cleans and Fenders for dirt.

Oh, I know. I just thought it was funny seeing terry in a cowboy hat.

Well, I knew. I’ve been saying for twenty years that Marshall has the best cleans. Welcome to the club!! That’s a great amp!

Holy crap! Is this a thing- building amps? I didn't know there were kits for home made amps. I might have to start a new hobby.

But, are they really Marshall cleans? Or are they clones of Fender tweed cleans? LOL

Seriously, that's pretty! I bet it sounds fantastic!

I scratched my JTM45 itch with a Marshall Origin 20 a couple of years ago. It seemed redundant to chase down a JTM45 (kit, clone or actual Marshall) when I already have a '59 Bassman Reissue. But, I keep thinking about making my Origin more JTM45-ish with a new JTM45 style cabinet.... and, I really like the nameplate on yours.

    Quite excellent
And I agree with Marshall cleans
My 18w Reinhardt (Marshall clone) goes from clean to growl with the volume control on my guitars

Circuits definitely had some uncanny similarities. But tubes and components were quite a bit different. I don’t think tweeds and JTMs sound all that similar. Definitely in the same zip code, but different ballparks. I greatly prefer the Brit take. As usual, YMMV.
